When school is not going well, parents look to tutoring as a solution. But tutoring often doesn't work. Most learning challenges including auditory processing, dyslexia, ADD or ADHD can be permanently corrected.
At Stowell Learning Center, we do MORE than tutor. We help children and adults SOLVE their learning challenges.

Home School Option:

Many parents opt to home school their children who are struggling in school, but find they need guidance in what curriculum to use and how to best work with their child.

Students attend a minimum of one hour per week per class. Parents are given guidance and materials to use at home on days when the student is not at the learning center.

The goal of this program is to develop strong underlying learning skills and bring reading, writing, spelling, and math skills to grade level so that the student can continue home schooling or return to tradition education without struggles.

The home schooling option helps families financially but places much more of the responsibility for the child’s education on the parent. Home schooling requires consistency and structure. We are happy to coach parents on organizing their school day and techniques for working with their child.
